Voice of Trainees

An Elected Council That Represents and Speaks for You

The Trainee Council at Saudi Mining Polytechnic consists of seven members elected through direct election. Members hold regular monthly meetings to discuss matters related to trainees at the Institute, and the council works to develop trainees' character, foster leadership and teamwork, and support academic achievement.

How Does the Council Work?

Nomination and Election

The council's seven members are elected directly by trainees, in a democratic experience that fosters a sense of responsibility.

Monthly Meetings

Members hold regular monthly meetings to discuss matters related to trainees, training affairs, and services at the Institute.

Voicing Concerns and Follow-up

The council conveys trainees' opinions and suggestions to the Institute's management and helps resolve issues in cooperation with relevant parties.

Council Objectives

Personal Development and Leadership

  • Developing trainees' character at the national, social, athletic, intellectual and professional levels.
  • Fostering a spirit of leadership and providing opportunities to express opinions freely.
  • Identifying outstanding and talented trainees, encouraging them, and nurturing their talents.

Cooperation and Teamwork

  • Fostering cooperation and teamwork among trainees.
  • Developing and strengthening the relationship between trainees and the administrative and training staff.

Representing Trainees

  • Providing an opportunity for input into decisions related to trainees, training affairs and services.
  • Helping resolve social issues and training matters in cooperation with relevant parties.

Academic Achievement

  • Enhancing trainees' academic achievement and the training process.
  • Supporting trainees' academic, intellectual, social and athletic activities.

Rights and Duties

  • Raising trainees' awareness of their rights and duties under the institute's policies.
  • Encouraging trainees to preserve and maintain the institute's facilities.
  • Encouraging trainees to maintain order in line with the institute's mission and objectives.
