From Application to Employment on a Single Path
Admission at Saudi Mining Polytechnic is based on a direct partnership with mining companies and related industries, with enrollment for each program opened according to actual demand from the hiring employer. This means every trainee joins a program tied to an employment opportunity, receiving a monthly stipend, medical insurance, and social insurance registration throughout the training period.
The admission process follows six clear stages, beginning with the program announcement and ending with the results announcement. During this process, candidates are assessed through a personal interview and an English language placement test that determines their starting point in the foundation stage.

Admission Stages
The Applicant's Journey in Six Steps
Application Review
Applicants' data is reviewed electronically to verify compliance with the announced program requirements in terms of qualification, assessment scores, and age.
Candidate Invitation
Candidates who meet the requirements are invited via text message and email to attend the interview at the specified date.
Interview and Placement Test
The candidate undergoes a personal interview that assesses readiness and motivation, along with an English proficiency placement test to determine the appropriate track.
Waiting List
Some candidates may be placed on a waiting list to be called upon to fill available seats in case an accepted applicant withdraws.
Results Announcement
Final selection is made after calculating the interview and placement test results according to each program's mechanism, after which accepted candidates are notified of their enrollment date.

Three Milestones to Employment
Foundation Stage
The journey begins with foundational courses including technical English, computing, mathematics, life skills, and occupational health and safety, building a common foundation before specialization.
Specialization Courses
The trainee moves on to specialization courses in laboratories, workshops, and simulators, with continuous assessment and clear progression policies between stages.
On-the-Job Training
The path is completed with field training inside mines and plants lasting between 3 and 6 months, during which the trainee is evaluated to confirm job readiness.

Housing or Housing Allowance
Housing or a housing allowance is provided for trainees from outside the region, as specified in each program's admission announcement.

Medical insurance provided by the employer covers the trainee for the entire duration of the training program.
Social Insurance
The trainee is registered for social insurance by the employer from the start of the program.
