Training Department
Leading the trainee journey from outreach and admission through to readiness for the mining sector job market.
The Training Department carries out an integrated set of responsibilities to achieve the institute's goals of qualifying and preparing national talent to join the job market in the mining sector and supporting industries across the Kingdom's regions.
The department sets trainee outreach plans and the foundations for admission, screening, registration, and orientation. It also develops curricula, training plans, and assessment tools in line with the needs of employing companies and shifts in the mining sector. It further oversees program delivery, measures training outcomes, manages attendance and training hours, and updates the training manual along with related policies and procedures.
The department's responsibilities also extend to preparing assessment tests, safety and defensive driving programs, and securing the resources trainees need to learn and progress. It organizes the Trainee Council, the public speaking club, sports teams, and guest speaker sessions, and runs academic excellence programs that build trainees' skills and professional character.
